Make no mistake about it, Mike Vandenberg is a cover-corner who has lit up the competition around Northern California the past two seasons. Mike is currently Ranked #1 in the State with 10 INTERCEPTIONS, with 1 game to go in 2004. In the past 2 seasons, Mike has 18 INTERCEPTIONS through 21 games. National Scouting Director for Prepstar Magazine, Bill Harrison, has said "Mike Vandenberg is a cover corner who has proven over time that he is one of the best football players in the class of 2005. Mike stays step-for-step with the top receivers in the SF Bay Area, and opposing coaches know he is dangerous." Campolindo Defensive Coordinator, Matt Macy said that, "In 9 years of coaching at Campolindo no other player has made more of an impact on the success of a team as Mike has - I consider him our MVP.
