Skills & Attributes
Head Football Coach, Mike Jacot, said that "Matt is a disciplined, talented, dedicated, capable, well-rounded young man, who displays a level-headed approach and maturity to life far beyond his years. Matt's ability to excel and lead in a disciplined football program and an educational environment governed by strict rules and policies, along with a solid and supportive family structure makes Matt a valuable asset to any program or institution." Coach Jacot also added that "Matt will compete fiercely to become a success. He is a goal setter who will strive to attain those goals, regardless of the obstacles. He is a young man of high moral principles who is respected and admired by peers and faculty alike and a young man you would be gratified to have your sons emulate." Additonally, Offensive Line Coach Derrek Uhl added that, "Matt Bahr played Weak Tackle for Santa Margarita High School in 2005. Matt has a big frame which will allow him to carry the weight needed to play Division I college football. Matt is a natural pass protector, long arms, technically sound, who plays through the whistle. His biggest improvement came in the run game during the 2005 season, Matt began to understand the importance good footwork and taking good angles. The future is bright for Matt Bahr who should have a big off-season and be one of the top linemen prospects in the state of California." 1 |
