Skills & Attributes
Only a sophomore, Charlie Russell already possesses a lot of the qualities that every college coach looks for in a prospect for their program. First and foremost, Charlie has an excellent academic record and he makes the time to get his studies done. Next, Charlie is a great athlete who continually works hard to refine his quarterback skills. And finally, Charlie has the type of leadership abilities that lend itself to a winning attitude. National Scouting Director for Prepstar Magazine, Bill Harrison, said that “Charlie Russell is a very poised young man who led his team to the West Virginia State AAA Championship in 2004. In watching Charlie twice this past season it was very easy to see that he does not get rattled easily. Charlie is a very intelligent player who makes great decisions on the field. Charlie has great field vision and, because of this, he is always making something happen. Charlie is able to hit the deep route with pin-point accuracy, and he has a ton of zip on the short 10-15 yard outs.”Charlie really understands the importance of preparation and he loves to study film to watch the tendencies of his next opponent. With 2 more seasons of varsity play to go Charlie will, no doubt, be a top college prospect in 2007.
