Skills & Attributes

As one of Orange County's premier two-way players Skyler Fancher has really come into his own in 2006 as a dominant player on both sides of the football. National Scouting Director for PrepStar Magazine, Bill Harrison, said that "Skyler is a big, strong, fast and extremely athletic football player who can project out to either the offensive or defensive side of the ball in college - he's just that type of an athlete. Skyler plays with aggression and determination, and he plays every single down to the whistle. Skyler has an infectious work-ethic and has worked extremely hard to be the player he is today." As an example of Skyler's dedication he trained for 4-hours every day this past summer to become stronger, quicker, and more agile in his abilities. In addition, during the season, Skyler spends his lunch hour at school watching game film to pick up any hints on how he can improve his game. Skyler's dedication has paid off as he has helped Huntington Beach HS get off to a 4-1 record, and he has his eyes set on capturing the Seaview League Championship. Make no mistake about it, Skyler Fancher has all the tools to be an impact player at the next level. Skyler is an extremely coachable ball-player and he has his sights set on doing what ever it takes to earn an opportunity to compete at the collegiate level. He's very determined to do that!1
